I think now Husker fan knows that the honeymoon, or grace period is over and time for Bo to start getting over some hurdles. Here they are
1. This head coach needs to be more than just a superb defensive guru. He needs to bring the offense into the fold. He needs to demand the same level of developmnet from offensive personnel that we have seen in defensive personnel (Williams, Suh, David etc.) He needs to not only get on the same page with the offensive coaches but to provide their vision, direction and feedback. The vision needs to be a good one and it needs to come from the top!
2. This head coach needs grow personally in terms of dealing with anger and those that make him angry. Such a fiery disposition is awesome in a competitor but can be costly in terms of consequences if displayed improperly. We don't want a Woody Hayes incident. We don't want the face of the organization to be such an angry and hateful one. Pretty soon we will start missing plays on TV because the program director won't turn the cameras away.
Honeymoon is over...lets be for improvin'!
