Man I sure hope he kept this speed!
But did anyone else see on this video how he had 2 pulling OLs who opened a good running lane for him but he didn't run through it?

I went with AA. Look at his highlight tape around the 2:30 mark, that says it all.

Went with Braylon Heard... a lot like Green but I would imagine a little more physically developed at this point, a little bigger, and tougher. Aaron Green was injured all the time the last 2 years of high school... ankles, hamstring, etc. Yes he played through it and still owned the field, but I question his health at the college level.

FWIW, Ameer played in the largest class in Alabama. If you read the first youtube comment under his highlight reel, it reads:
For Ameer to put up 200+ against Hoover is quite telling of his ability against top-notch competition. FYI, Hoover is a National High School Football Powerhouse. They've won the state title 6x since 2000 including 4-in-a-row from 2002-2005. They've been nationally ranked in the Top 25 5x since 2003. In 2010 their final national ranking was 15th. So basically Ameer put up 200+ yds. against the 15th ranked high school team in the nation.

I was QB in high school and this is the offense we ran. Worst offense ever if you have speed! Its for little kids and teams like Navy.

I chose Heard over Green due to the fact that it seems the highest hyped guys dont ever seem to work out. Also the adversity Heard has had to go through on his road to getting here proves that he is determined and a testimant to his work ethic which will show on the field. Dont know enough about Abdullah to vote for him.
I understand where you're coming from with the bolded statement. As for the hype factor, Husker fans have been following Green since his sophomore year whereas we've only just learned about Heard last year during his recruiting process. Had the staff not pushed hard for him when they did, he probably would've stuck to his commitment with West Virginia.
Interestingly enough, Heard was the only Nebraska recruit to make the Rivals 100 list in 2010 where he was ranked 57th. He was considered the nation's 5th best RB from 2010. The #1 and #2 RB from 2010 made immediate impacts as true freshmen at their respective schools. Marcus Lattimore for S. Carolina and Michael Dyer for Auburn.
Green on the other hand was ranked 61st in Rivals 100 and was considered the 8th best RB from 2011. I guess one could argue that even though Green's hype resonated more with the Husker fanbase due to familiarity, Heard's hype from a Rivals recruiting ranking standpoint is higher than Green's. I'm aware that I'm comparing recruiting rankings from two different classes here so it's not a fair comparison hence the reason this thread leaves it up for debate.

Green was widely regarded as the #2 RB in Texas' top football division, though. That is a proving ground that Heard cannot boast, no matter his Rivals ranking, nor can AA no matter the fact that he played in Alabama's top division.
But the reality is, no matter the hype surrounding Green, no matter Heard's ranking, no matter how great any of them look on film, they still have to do it at this level. All three of them could bust out, or all three could be stars.

While I agree with the facepalm I don't think Nebraska's offense was ever a true triple option flexbone offense.
