Using that nice bracket generator that fro daddy posted, I've got six possible scenarios for us:
The first one, also the not so nice one is: Colorado beats Iowa State tonight and then beats Nebraska in the final Big XII game. That puts us at the #8 seed and playing Oklahoma State (a team we've already beaten this year) Win that game and we get to play Kansas who will probably destroy us and eliminate any slight hope of making the NCAA Tournament.
-OR-
The second one: CU inexplicably loses to Iowa State and then loses to Nebraska. This would put us at the #6 seed and playing Oklahoma (a team we've already beaten this year) We win that game and then we play Texas A&M (another team we've beaten this year) We win that game and get to the semifinals and play Texas (yet another team we've beaten this year). All things considered, we make it to the finals, we're more than likely to be selected to dance in March.
-OR-
The third one: CU beats Iowa State but loses to Nebraska. This would put us at the #5 seed and playing Iowa State (a team we've lost to but will more than likely beat if we were to play them again) Win that game and we would play Kansas State who would more than likely beat us and send us to the NIT again.
-OR-
The fourth one: CU loses to Iowa State and Nebraska. And Missouri beats Kansas. This results in the same situation as the second scenario.
-OR-
The fifth one: CU beats Iowa State and loses to Nebraska. And Missouri beats Kansas. This also results in the same situation as the second scenario
-AND FINALLY-
The sixth one: CU beats Iowa State and Nebraska. And Missouri beats Kansas. This results in the same situation as the first scenario.
Basically, we need to become either Missouri fans or Iowa State fans. Also, we need Nebraska to pick up a much needed win on the road against CU.
