Talented QBs await shot at Blackshirts

We've separated all 12 opponents into three categories at quarterback: Proven Players, Promising Potential and Up In the Air where starting quarterbacks have yet to be chosen. That includes Wisconsin, for now, as Wilson hasn't decided where he'll transfer.
Playing quarterback against the Huskers is one of the more unpleasant jobs in college football. You're facing a pass defense that held quarterbacks to a 48-percent completion rate in 2009 and 2010. One of the nation's best pass-rushing front fours. A complex matchup zone defense that frustrates passers.

In two games, Missouri's Blaine Gabbert never figured it out. Neither did Washington's Jake Locker. Oklahoma's Landry Jones has thrown six career interceptions against NU. In one game, Idaho's Nathan Enderle threw five.

Aside from a few snaps taken by UW's Keith Price in the Holiday Bowl, not one of the opposing quarterbacks on this year's schedule has faced the Blackshirts. Here are their stories heading into 2011:

Bring it on B1G QBs... :bonesflag:

read that a little while ago - it will be nice to add some new QB's to Bo's list of disgraced. I was getting tired of seeing L. Jones on there so many times :)

The list of distinguished QBs who got their face plastered over by the Bofense.

Colt McCoy, Landry Jones, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, etc, I've sorta lost track.

Nathan Enderle

Colt McCoy

Blaine Gabbert

Landry Jones

Jake Locker

Todd Reesing

Bo Pelini's quarterback graveyard - you're in good company.

that avatar just ain't right........lol

how much do you think that bo changing his defensive scheme this year will affect how we play against the pass? last year our main goal was defending the pass since we were in a pass heavy conference, but in the big ten you almost have to sell out to defend the run, and that usually means that the dbacks will cheat up and then get beat. i know that bo will have the guys ready to play, but idk if he can run as complex defensive coverage schemes playing a true 4-3 instead of the peso

Nothing better than fresh meat ........ I'm not sure how much Bo will change but I think I don't think we will see a major change, although the Big-12 was pass happy overall the top teams had strength in both just as they will in the Big+2. The one demensional teams will be toast the Bofense will prevail.

None.

It will be interesting when OSU comes out to Memorial Stadium. I don't know if Miller will be ready by then so it could be a long game vs a good defensive team. If it is Bauserman, get ready for the Blackshirts to tee up on the OSU QB.

I don't think any offense in the Big10 this year comes anywhere close to last year's Okie St. Missouri & Oklahoma were no slouches either. The blackshirts will shut down the Big10.

Now, if our offense........
