These are the allegations from the case they just announced the penalties on today I believe, not a beginning of anything.

I can understand why as an OSU fan it might be exciting to see someone else take some heat, but this isn't new, and the cases aren't all that similar.

I wasn't comparing the cases for their similarities. I know they're completely different. However, they had multiple people reported to lie to the NCAA. Therein is the only similarity (someone lied)

The '10' is 90% likely going to be Auburn, there's just tons of rumors still swirling around about peculiar things going on with their Athletic Department. Including but not limited to Jonathan Jenkins being offered 100k to go play for them and being interviewed by the NCAA after telling his father about it, receiving troubling correspondence from someone that had the AD fully staffed last friday (supposedly odd for mid summer), HBO having new, higher profile Auburn players admitting to pay for play, Dye on tape requesting 200k from the Casino owning booster and obviously Cam Newton's money trail being uncovered. We'll find out what, if any of those are true in August hopefully.

Among the schools whose recruits are in question: Ohio State, Louisiana State, Auburn and Tennessee.

Yes, rest easy, Miami, Florida and Florida State fans. This isn't about you. The schools involved have been successful for years in getting players out of South Florida, and enough red flags have been raised about money changing hands in the recruiting process to merit the investigation, the source said.

High schools officials, street agents, seven-on-seven tournaments - they're all going to be asked questions by the NCAA.

So that's a possibility too.

I overheard somewhere that one of the big 3 in Florida were going to be under investigation too. Don't know which one.

Likely Florida itself--the other two haven't been competent enough in the past decade or so to be subject to any wrongdoing.

The Lyles stuff is still being investigated, Oregon is still saying they did nothing wrong.

The problem with NOI/NOA from the NCAA is schools don't have to disclose anything about receiving them so we never know for sure until punishment comes down.

Take GT last week for example, that whole story was hush-hush until the punishment was announced basically.

Ok what if Florida is among the list of Univeristies getting hammered by the NCAA for a major violation close to OSU and Auburn...could that be one reason if not the top reason why Urban Meyer stepped down knowing that Florida was going to get hammered? I know Urban Meyer had some medical problems that was the deciding factor along with watching his kids grow up but you never know.

I don't know if Florida is even in the mix of some sort of violation and I'm not saying that they are but its something to think about.
