As of this evening, my son joined the U.S. Navy.

After his basic, he'll be going to Nuclear Engineering school.

I'm so proud of him, I just don't have the words...

Must be a really smart kid. I remember them trying to recruit me a bit for something similar with an 89 on my ASVAB, but they REALLY wanted my best friend Dion, he scored a 97.

 
Congrats to all who have children joining the armed forces! What a big decision and they should be proud.

 
Congratulations. I just got back from my son's graduation from Navy boot camp. It was a fun trip up to Great Lakes IL. I believe that this is where all boot camp is for the Navy. If you go to the graduation, make sure you get there as early as possible so you can get a seat in the auditorium.
