We're also better than a manufactured "Heroes Game" ...and given the choice between the two I choose Farmageddon. Like 1 in 50 college football fans will have ever heard of that name being used between ISU/KSU anyways.

I agree with you about "manufacturing" a rivalry with Iowa. I think it's a stupid idea. Rivalries aren't forced, they're built through tradition, victory and defeat.

However, Farmageddon is and will always be Kstate-Iowa St.

 
I like this. Who cares if the name sucks? There are things in life more important than a name for a college football game....honoring people who deserve it and raising money for charity are two, which this game is accomplishing.

 
I have a friend that actually had a G.I. Joe doll made of him. I will call him and see if he will make it the trophy for this game.

 
Personally i think the meaning behind the game is awsome but i think the name isnt great. Also remember the cy-hawk game sponsored buy hyvee. I hope our game doesnt get as lame as that trophy was. Just one big huge sponsored event seeing all that stuff here was rediculous.

 
It's almost as embarrassing as "Legends & Leaders" and the horribly cheesy B1G logo. :facepalm:

well lets hope the trophy is awesome looking. I do like the idea behind the name, the charitable donations and such. but i think the name could be improved a bit.

 
If you all think the trophy sucks we will be happy to keep it in Iowa City so you don't have to look at it. :koolaid2:

This. All of these trophy and rivaly games in the B1G are cheesy and trite. For a conference that is so caught up in its own tradition, this really is embarassing.

This plus infinity. The meaning behind the game is great, but just announcing that it is a rivaly doesn't make it so.

 
I could care less about the trophy just the name engraved on it for the next 100yrs. is all that matters.
