***Official Preseason Polls Thread***

Can't complain to much about that list. But it really grinds my gears to see 3 Big 12 schools in the top 9.

Sagarin's pre-season ratings are out, too. Notables:

1. Alabama

3. Ohio State

5. Oklahoma

11. Texas

16. Oklahoma State

17. Wisconsin

18. Nebraska

19. Iowa

21. Missouri

24. Penn State

I see a match up of top 5 teams for the Wisconsin/Nebraska game! The loser of Oregon/LSU will be knocked out and the loser of FSU/Oklahoma will be knocked out.

Seriously, A&M in the top 10? Last year they lost to everyone with a pulse. That is excluding a not so great OU team. Also excluding a Husker team with pretty much no offense and the refs helping A&M any way they could short of actually tackling Husker players.

With the Big 12 going round robin they will knock each other around real good and some of them will drop. Us at 11 is a nice spot.

I would put the deed to my house on the fact that Notre Dame will not finish the season in that poll. What a joke.

You can add Auburn, and Texas to that list as well. No way those teams finish in the top 25.

Texas A&M is definitely too high, and frankly Oklahoma hasn't proven anything yet, they shouldn't be in the top spot. I don't know why Oregon isn't #1 frankly, given the returning starters they have.

Either way, the poll does in some ways show why all of this talk about the Big Ten being a much stronger conference than the Big 12 doesn't really scare me. I don't really think it is tougher than the Big 12.

I don't see how you think Texas doesn't finish in the top 25. They are loaded with talent, they are just headcases. Mack will turn them around I'm sure. Although it would be hilarious if you were right.

If Oklahoma (who overcame a 17 pt deficit to beat us) hasn't proven anything yet, we certainly don't deserve to be 11. And Tim DeRuyter (aTm's DC) might just be the next Bo. They might be the team that upsets OU.
