Don't know if I'm in the right place for this post, but word is that Jake Cotton has moved to guard and could be a starter opposite A-Rod. I know Jakes tall, but hom much does he way? I didn't think he had beefed up enough to be a legit contender to start.

 
The more interviews of the players I see this summer (including some from today) the more I think that certain seniors were a cancer on the team after Lee got benched and the current players are relieved that they're gone. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it.

Just curious what makes you think that. Not trying to open the door to debate or anything.

 
Based on the few mentions by players, Eric Martin and Jo Carter will be top dogs for starting Defensive end opposite Cam.

Do you guys think this is just new guys impressing? Or Jason Ankrah and Josh Williams not getting it?

I get the impression that Williams is good enough, but that he's not better than EMart or Carter. I've heard conflicting things about Ankrah, and I don't have an explanation for his failure to rise to the top of the depth chart. It's possible the other guys are just better.

That said, I wouldn't be upset to start Williams and Ankrah as bookends to our line. I don't think either is bad. I think it's mostly that the other guys are better.
