Official - A&M sends notice to Beebe, Big 12 that they are exploring options

OK, how about lumping Martin's penalty in as obvious when whatever did or did not happen wasn't caught on film? Really credible and accurate stuff there.

Most of us don't deny that there were penalties on Nebraska, probably a lot of them. And Bo didn't help, though it's poor for a ref to be influenced by a coach's behavior. Throw the flag on him if he crosses the line, don't go looking for me though. Especially that BS call on Osborne at a very key time.

Did A&M really play a nearly perfectly clean game though? I doubt that.

Courney Osborne's "late" hit was obvious? Right there the video has lost all credibility.
Yeah...not obvious. Questionable for sure. I won't deny that one. I know what the explanation is, but it certainly was not an "obvious" call..
Questionable??? Really???

I think we all know that it was a great and legal hit. Anybody calling it a 'Questionable' hit are either Aggie fans or anti-Husker fans.

Good lord. What happened to this thread? I cannot fathom how rehashing that screw job in College Station is worth the effort it takes to push the keys. If anyone thinks A&M themselves had anything to do with Beebe's hatchetmen ripping us off, they're delusional. Taking out the angst we feel over that game on Agmarauder, who has been a very cool guy here, is a waste of time.

If anyone has any latent anger over that game they're going to be able to work it off as they watch the flags fly at the Aggies over and over and over this year. Me, I'm going to feel sorry for A&M, who has always been my favorite South team. Buncha great guys, we've had some damned good games against them, and I'm going to wish them well wherever they land.

If you guys want to bicker back and forth at each other over something none of you has any control over, I'm not going to stop you. Just stay within the rules, and if you feel the need to get chippy, go to the Shed.

Me, I'm going to sip some more beer, occasionally check my pork shoulder on the grill (pulled pork tonight) and in general get ready for college football, which starts in roughly two hours. That's my priority right now. If I gotta come play Mod in this thread I'm going to get really angry. Like, semi-lit angry, irrationally angry, ban-people-for-seven-days angry. Nobody wants to get banned for the first game weekend, do they?

Let's all play nice. kthnxby

Nicely done, knapp. That put in words what my thoughts were. I think shots were given on both sides, but I think we all got up off the carpet, and can agree that A&M might be in for the same ride we had last year. Course, if the rumorings of others leaving bear any fruit, A&M may have it easier, because the focus may not be as dead set on them as it was on us last year. But that's to be seen. AgMarauder, here's to your team persevering through this year, to come out with the light on the other end of the tunnel come next July. Cheers to you and yours for getting while the getting is good. Always had respect for your bunch. The only one I truly seemed to hate before this was tu. But then, the way Tech and Baylor have acted through this, not so sure anymore. We'll see what happens when everything shakes out, but congrats to your bunch regardless!

The A&M debacle––corrupt as it was––is the equivalent of necroposting. Aggies had nothing to do with it. They're in line to get their own special treatment this season. Karma, I guess.

Best of luck, Ags. Congratulations on escaping the whorns clutches.

This is really getting embarrassing for A&M, what more can they be in the SEC but a doormat.
Rich? They're going to the biggest money-making conference in all the land. They're going to be allies with ESPN instead of fighting against them through Texass. They're going to be a little overmatched in football, but not terribly so. They have enough money to pay for the coaches they'll need to be competitive. I don't see them being a doormat for long - maybe not a perennial contender, but respectable.

A&M has some work to do, but I think they will hold their own...look at what Arkansas has done. They had 2 losses last year and went to a BCS bowl. Once we get some SEC-quality recruits in, we'll be fine. Our biggest recruiting competitor is OU. Move to the SEC should help. Imagine you're a recruit. Coach is talking about where you play and who you could play. Option 1:

Lubbock to play TT

Ames to play Istate

Manhattan to play Kstate

Stillwater to play OSU

Does that excite you?

Or...

Athens to play Georgia

Tuscaloosca to play Bama

Baton Rouge to play LSU

Nashville to play Vandy

What sounds better to you? I think we'll be just fine...but we will take our lumps.
