Here is my attempt at legitimate optimism

  • We match up very well with Penn State.
  • Taylor's confidence in the passing game is at an all-time high.
  • Michigan looked like crap for three-fourths of the game today. And the Big House is not half as scary as Camp Randall.
  • Sparty is god-awful at Kinnick. And they looked pretty average again today.

 
looked outside and yep, the sky is still there.....we'll be fine, just not sure about this Penn State team but glad that Martinez confidence didn't take a hit today.....maybe got stronger!

 
That's the spirit! Penn State fans don't think their team is very good. They used the s__k word alot to describe their team! (Sorry, I hate that word) So...WE CAN STILL MAKE INDY!!! GO BIG RED. (And seriously, if you want some comic relief in the midst of all this sadness go read the 'Pointing Thumbs' thread. It is so hilarious and just keeps getting better!!

 
We didn't lay down after that last td by Colter. In the past I don't think we drive the field and have a shot at an onside kick. Enunwa was laying people out downfield and Kenny Bell was diving for the endzone. I can respect the effort the offense gave today for the most part.

 
NW QB situation was not a common thing, not many teams can lose their starter at that position and have that backup be better and even have a capable third stringer. Anyways GBR!

 
Michigan's State most likely loss is going to be against Iowa. However, with how NW played today, it wouldn't surprise me to see them beat Sparty. We just need to take care of business and the shot is still there. Season didn't end today.

 
The offense kept fighting till the end, they never gave up and that was an awesome sight. We are still very much in this. The Big is crazy this year and anything is possible.

Also, it looks like the winner for the worst thread (Bo has to go) of the day is starting to lose steam.

 
And another blind attempt at optimism. I saw an article once where recruits were polled and they said the outcome of the game on their visit was very low on the list of factors when deciding whether to commit or not. Come monday Seisay will still be N.

Well, at least 2 of the next 3 are on the road so Bo can't blame the home fans. That is good. ;)

Sure would be nice to repay the PSU favor from 2002.

I guess I didn't mean to imply that the reasons stated above were not legit, I just meant I was stretching a bit to find things to be optimistic about. I was really just trying to add positive things to this thread since the 'Bo must go' thread was making me angry.

 
My biggest concern (outside of the defense) is that Rex didn't look good from the start. We've got the meat of the schedule right NOW. We need him healthy and I don't know why the hell he had to play so damn late into last weeks game. He looked tired and worn out.
