Catcher for the Nationals kidnapped

Wow, I really hope this isn't over shadowed by the firing of Paterno story because this is pretty serious.

 
ESPN is reporting that the kidnappers have confirmed they are keeping him alive and are awaiting an assume ransom...

 
Kidnapping is almost an industry in Venezuela like Mexico. It has increased more than tenfold since Chavez gained power. I hope Ramos is returned unharmed.

 
He's been rescued. From ESPN: The kidnapping ordeal of Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos ended after two days when Venezuelan police commandos swooped in to rescue him in a remote mountainous area and arrested three alleged abductors.
