I was at this game. I did not realize this was the guy that brought Ball State to Nebraska and nearly beat us. Had their kicker not blown that field goal we would have lost at home to a lowly Ball State team. I walked away from that game completely happy that I did not witness my first Husker loss in person. I've never been to a Husker loss in my life and hopefully never will. I also walked away from that game knowing that we should have lost. Ball State played some damn good ball that day. If Michigan plays anything like their coach can teach, then I really worry about this game. Not only on Saturday, but I see this as a big time rivalry for years and years to come. Hoke could take a program like Michigan to the top. We could be a stepping stone for them if we don't get our sh#t together here at Nebraska.

 
DIdnt Ball State do pretty good that year like 10-2 or something. I remember that game, the whole game I was like why is McKeon even on the team.

 
Sept. 22, 2007. That was about the lowest point of our program in 50 years. Still, an admirable performance by Hoke and Ball State.

I know Ruud had an almost pick 6 in that game.

I think how the game ended is that the Ball State WR dropped a pass while running wide open down the middle. Nobody was within 10 yards and wouldve scored. Then they had to kicked the FG which went wide right, I believe.

No the game was won after their kicker missed a last second FG right after their wide open WR 20 yards behind the defense tried to catch the ball with the top of his helmet.

Took my wife(then girlfriend) to that game, because I had to see and NU a$$ kickin after watching USC firsthand make everyHusker their biatch. Whoops. That game was just wierd, no buzz in the air before the game. And no buzz after the game. It was like a funeral.

And to guys in serious relationships. if mine survived the Callahan era, anything can last.

Funny mine started during the callahan era...............

"Jeez, Okie State is kicking our freaking azz, you wanna go out to the car and test the suspension!?!?!?" good times.
