Predict the placement of Husker players in the Draft.

We need to make things a little bit for lively around here. So how about discussing where potential prospects from Nebraska end up in the draft this year.

C Mike Caputo

DT Jared Crick

LB Lavonte David

CB Alfonzo Dennard

pretty much locks for the combine

potential players who might get an invite

WR Brandon Kinnie 50%

OT Yoshi Hardrick 60%

DT Terrance Moore 70%

S Austin Cassidy 40%

FB Tyler Legate 50%

Caputo will probably be taken in the late 4th or 5th round, he is a vastly undersized Center, that is really gonna hurt his chances. But someone will pick him that is in desperate need of fixing their OL

If Crick performs well at the combine, i could see him going before Lavonte David early in the 2nd round. If not, more than likely a steal late in the 2nd or early 3rd.

Alfonzo should be a late first round pick, but after the Capital One game, better make that a solid 3rd round pick. He could gain a lot of ground back with a very strong showing at the combine to get into the 2nd round.

Lavonte David, this is kind of a toss up between late 1st or early 2nd. Its kind of a toss up at spot he will play, OLB or DB or S? Either way, he will be an outstanding player on whatever team takes and will contribute immediately.

Terrance Moore can make a strong impression if he gets an invite to the combine, which i think he does. My prediction is that he gets taken in the 6th or 7th round, if he goes to the combine and scores well.

Kinnie, not very fast, more of a possession type of guy, unfortunately his stats this year dont show that. Highly doubt he will make it to the combine, someone might pick him up as an undrafted free agent.

Hardrick, definitely big enough for the NFL, but his techniques need a lot of polishing. If someone does take him as an undrafted free agent, it will be a lot of work for him and the coaches before he is ready to play on Sundays.

Cassidy, sort of quick, not very shifty, often gets beat on the slants. has good eyes, sure hands for the interception, but is often caught out of coverages. He is good on zone coverage, bad on man coverages. Won't go drafted, might not be signed either. His likelihood of being drafted are as good as Matt O'Hanlon's were.

Tyler Legate, undersized, light fullback. great blocker and sure hands when catching the ball. Won't be drafted, more than likely picked up as an undrafted free agent, he will play as a RB to either block or take a screen pass.

I don't think Crick will be allowed to bench press at the combine because of his injuries, but he'll still get drafted in one of the lower rounds.

Dennard will be the first to get picked, probably 2nd round, and David will also be drafted at some point, don't know when...

I don't think any other Husker is getting drafted...

Fonzie: late 1st. It'd be a crime otherwise! I could see a 2nd, though. Would be such a shame.

Crick: injury may hurt him. I could see a 2nd round pick here, only because he's been talked up for years now.

David: For some reason the hype wasn't on him this year, and they all say he's undersized. I say bollocks, but it probably means round 3.

Caputo: Probably undrafted, JMO.

Terrance Moore, Hardrick and Brandon Kinnie might be interesting targets in the 6/7 area, but they are likely to go undrafted too.

Some of these last few guys will end up in Canada. Or playing in an arena league. Maybe in Omaha.

Didnt we have 10 players drafted last year? Down to (most likely) 3 this year. Shows why our team struggled. Young, and the three guys that are getting drafted only played 2 games together all year. Tough year with a young inexperienced team. Also Pelini's first class that he had about 2 months to put together.

Dennard late 1st round. His numbers at the combine will raise some eyebrows.

David late 2nd round

Crick late 2nd early 3rd because of injury

I think yoshi will get drafted late as well because of his size.

Fonzo - 1st round, maybe early 2nd.

Lavonte - 2nd or 3rd round

Crick - I would guess anywhere 4th thru 6th round

Yoshi - Might get picked up in 6th or 7th round

I would say Marcel Jones has a chance of being drafted in later rounds as well.

I don't see Caputo getting drafted because of his size, but he will land somewhere in free agency.

I agree with this. Might move David down to 4th or 5th round. I think he's probably the 2 or 3 best LB but he'll move down becuase of his size.

I'll predict one, Dennard goes to Detroit.
Imagine the spin that'd be put on this one after Fonzies incident at the capital one bowl. " Nebraska sends another violent dirty player to Detroit" But, in all seriousness, Detroit needs help in the secondary and Dennard would be great there.

Taylor to the Colts with pick numero uno!!!!!!!!!!!!

:sarcasm in fear of starting somekind of Holy War/Taylor Vs Anti-Taylor Crusade

C Mike Caputo - Caputo's career as a football player is over in my opinion. Far to undersized to play in the NFL. I was never really impressed with his abilities to be honest.

DT Jared Crick - I don't know if the injury hurt Crick's stock too bad. Maybe late 1st but surely a 2nd rounder.

LB Lavonte David - David will impress some teams with his speed and athleticism. I could see him going mid to late 3rd.

CB Alfonzo Dennard - Dennard should be a mid to late 1st rounder in my opinion.

WR Brandon Kinnie - Kinnie was probably one of the most disappointing players this season. I have no clue where he ends up. Maybe 5th or 6th.

OT Yoshi Hardrick - Hardrick will go 6th or 7th round.

DT Terrance Moore - Moore could end up going 6th or 7th.

S Austin Cassidy - Cassidy will be a Undrafted FA. I don't think he ever plays a snap professionally.

FB Tyler Legate - Legate is a great player and hopefully will make an impact for someone through FA.

I remember a LB coming out of college by the name of Jessie Tuggle. The so called experts also stated that he was too small to play LB at the next level. Well, we all know how that turned out.

Actually, I didn't. So I looked it up. How big was he actually?
