I'd take a Tommy Armstrong to Turner connection for a couple years in there too.
No, it might take these guys 2-3 snaps in a real game to pass Taylor up. But in 3 snaps I see them making more progress than Taylor has made in 2 years.
Some folks in denial that Taylor will be the QB next year despite what happens in the Spring game. If Taylor doesn't make huge strides and lead the Husker offense to a BCS bowl or National Championship, you can count on the "Fire Bo" people to quadtruple in size for Bo/Tim in putting some much trust into the guy and not playing Carnes or someone else. When was the last time we had a 3rd year starter play for the Huskers? Was it Ganz? or before that?obviously last year's spring game revealed little about how much Carnes was going to play......like zero, so i am sure not going to get excited by anyone who stands out this year..

I won't be looking too much into the QB spot. It will be nice to see other QB's out there like Tyson, maybe Ridder and Bronson might suit up as QB too.
It seems to me, wathcing the last 3 spring games. Spring games don't necessarily dictate who starts when the season begins. Its fall camp that dictates that. Spring game just seems to shake the dust off the players after winter conditioning, give the fans something to do during the off-season and evaulate how your depth at all positions looks when simulating a real game experience.
You're gonna see less of TM than you did in last years SG. The game isn't meant for a third year starter at QB. It's meant for the younger guys. The last thing you want is for TM to take off for the sideline and rupture an Achilles. TM isn't gonna quiet the hatred in the spring. He has to do that next year against UM and Ohio St on the road.I hope to see Aaron Green, Jamal Turner, Smoove Seisay, and Taylor Martinez have great games. Taylor needs to have a good showing in order to quiet a few of the haters for a few months.
Thanks for finding that video of DS! I hope that a year at the training table and in the weight room has allowed him to add needed muscle weight. I love his motor and his heat seeking missle attitude.I remember Lavonte David talked a little bit about Slaughter and Santos during fall camp last year. Pretty impressive to rack up over 250 tackles in your junior and senior season at the high school level and to only be 5'11" 195 lbs. I do hope he adds some weight though during winter conditioning.I remember seeing Derek Slaughter's HS tape and was excited by his speed and ability to find the ball. I know it may not have been the best of competition. I'm pulling for him to do well.
I know of a couple people who would like to see that happen. You're gonna see less of TM than you did in last years SG. The game isn't meant for a third year starter at QB.
