The Good News & The Bad News - Men's BB

International Man of Mystery
Sagarin's current rankings have some good news and some bad news for the Men's BB team.

The Bad News - we're ranked 120th in the nation. That's what? Bottom of the NIT pack at best? Are we even projected to make the NIT this year?

The Good News - we've played the 11th-toughest schedule, and we're over .500 against that schedule. That's pretty small comfort considering we're not projected to win many (if any) of our remaining Big Ten games, but it's not... horrible.

People really do fail to realize how brutal that first half of the conference schedule was. The only game we were favored in during an 8 game stretch was the Penn State game.

I wouldn't say Penn State is just that bad. I would say the Big Ten is just that good of a basketball conference this year. Tim Frazier is a stud.

Today on 1620 Jay Bilas said you don't fire Doc unless he fails to match the number of banners hanging in the gym before he got there....

What the hell does Jay Bilas know about banners in our "ARENA" (we dont play in a "gym" like frickin dook). Bilas is the college basketball Mark may to me.

OK. Well, Doc hasn't done that. So we can fire him.

Yep before Doc. A Big 8 championship Tourney and a NIT Championship

oh and we made the big dance before Doc as well
To be fair, he was talking about ncaa tourney banners of which there are none. He also said he thought the same thing about Collier... I like Bilas and there's no way he's as bad as Mark May, but yeah, that was an incredibly stupid thing to say.

I knew we had a rough schedule, but had no idea it was that rough. We've played more top-25 teams than any of the other 345 ncaa teams.

It's simple. We offer Phil Jackson eleventy billion dollars to come here. Phil would in turn hire Dennis Rodman and The Worm would teach Diaz how to rebound. I don't know why TOm hasn't thought of this before.

Well sorry Jay, but we fired Nee, and he's the one who got us what little we have. There, I opened up the can of worms.
