The 9/22 Scheduled "TBA" game

I thought they might have a decent team planned. Oh well.
Makes it easier for Bo to get that all-important 9th win which we've now decided dictates a successful season.
You are one cynical dude. I say it gives us a nice bye week to get healthy before Wisconsin and Ohio St. back to back.
I'm sure the 90,000 fans are thrilled to be paying 100 bucks to be able to watch a fall practice. Does Taylor get to wear a green jersey for this one?
Fans in the SEC don't have a problem with it...

Who would you have instead?
Not a top 20ish team. I like the win. I'd just like to see us get more out of some of these games. I'm looking at it more from a recruiting/exposure standpoint. I feel like the first 4 games could be very important to our recruiting...especially the southern players. If we can get them up here early, before it's 30 degrees out we benefit. I don't see us chasing many Idaho kids...or any Florida visitor being impressed by our 62-10 win. We'll likely have 5 officials during this game, and the stadium will be DEAD after the first 3 minutes. So much for the "game-experience" that sells a recruit.

Without looking at schedules to see who was open..... Any Big East team. Bottom half ACC team (wake,nc state, bc, georgia tech and their option offense would be a good matchup). FIU, Ohio, South Florida, UCF all for recruiting purposes.

(And Nebraska isn't the SEC)

We should play them in their dome!

The only problem is that it seats about 12,000 people...
Only if you want all our players to end up injured. It's green carpet over concrete.

I'm sure you don't want to watch this entire video but if you go to the three minute mark you will see a long catch. It is the only big play they don't replay during the video because the guy snaps his arm trying to catch himself.

It's a terribly hard surface.

That dome at ISU is cool. I live three blocks from the dome... and one of my jobs is as a Professor at ISU. So... for me this is great... the Huskers are playing one of my current employers.

The newspaper here was very complementary of NU and I have a player (in fact two --- one who starts and the second down on the depth chart... or, at least was) in one of my classes and will get their feel for what they think of the Huskers.

Anyway... GBR.

That's a good point, but I'd pay it if I thought it helped our chances the next two weeks. Maybe some regulars will sell their tickets to folks who don't normally get to go.

We just always seem to get so worn down by injuries; now, we have two bye weeks to spread out the pain.

No, but the SEC houses some of the best fanbases in the country, they load up on FCS teams, and the fans still show up for those.
