lol. That's hyperbole, right? Hubble ended up at about $5B. Which is still about 12x higher than the original estimate. About par for a large project run by a bunch of semi-gov't bureaucrats.Well, they f'd up the manufacturing of the original lens back in like '93 or whenever it was that it was launched. It turned into a huge debacle, but they figured out a way to essentially give it glasses (a corrective lens added on) and get it to work. Saved them a ton of embarrassment and saved NASA from having like a $50B piece of space junk floating around.
