So, as some of you probably know, I've been at boot camp for the past three months becoming a Marine. I did that, but I had no Husker news the entire time. Could some of y'all give me a quick down and dirty of what all has happened since February?

Nebraska;

  1. Bo Pelini said some stuff.
  2. Ron Brown said other stuff about gay people.
  3. They're still reconstructing your stadium.
  4. Spring game was cancelled due to weather.
  5. Alfonzo Dennard was arrested like a week before the draft.
  6. Green is transferring.

In wider football news;

  1. The Draft; Luck went first, RG3 second.
  2. Saints busted over bountygate and wiretapping.
  3. College Football now committed to some form of playoff.

World News;

  1. Beyonce died.

...and once again congrats man, good job.

Thank you for serving our country! :) (The rest of the news-pretty uneventful. It was sad that the Spring Game was cancelled due to bad weather. But the folks got lots of free food which probably would've cost them an arm and a leg had they had to pay it out of pocket. The team sounds up beat this year which is a change and Bo has been pretty visible with the press so far this year. Our boys all got drafted to various arms of the NFL (Yoshi and David will be on the same team). Dennard pulled a stupid stunt right before the draft-punched out a cop. But he was drafted anyway. Coach Brown made the mistake of saying his address was '600 Memorial Stadium' at a public event so many people have been bent out of shape about that (funny they weren't bent out of shape when he prayed in front of millions via television at the Penn State game and he was actually at work but you can read all about that on the 'religion' section of the board) Otherwise, same old same old. Folks are nervous about the Offense, Taylor went to qb camp but still looks funny when he throws. Aaron Green left the team-some were sad about that-I didn't think he looked that good compared to Abdullah AND if he can't stand the heat I'm glad he left the kitchen although I wish him well. I think he'll find that if he would've been a little more patient he probably would've done well at NU.

Glad you're back. I'm sure others will fill you in as well! GBR!
