Any Coach and any staff

I'm really going for a chin-balance in my coaching staff. The head coach would have a nice, medium chin. Harbaugh fits the criteria quite well. Not too much manliness, but enough to assert chin-thority. My defensive coordinator needs to be all that is man. Cowher has a chin that could cut through diamond. For my offensive coordinator, I want a high flying attack that is really diverse. Mangino definitely has the most chins to work with, making him the obvious choice.

I would say:

HC- Tom Osborne (255-49-3) 3 titles and assistant coach for 2 more, enough said.

OC- Mike Shannahan (What can I say I am a broncos fan and he was a good coach, besides we all know TO would be calling the pays so really my 4 year old nephew could be the OC and we would still make Spurier's face all long and sad with our unstoppable offense and dominating D).

DC- Charlie McBride

If we realistically had to change here are some guys that I think we could get that wouldnt be a reach:

HC- Pat Fitzgerald, I think this guy is a great coach and has a lot of passion he doesnt have resources to bring in the athletes at Northwestern. He out coached us bad, and Northwestern always seems to show up and play hard week after week which is something I respect and wish our team could do.

OC- Mark Mangino, he has a good offensive mind and works well with developing quarterbacks. I just dont know if he would be the right FIT lol, had to get a fat joke in somehow.

DC- Kevin Steele, he has a good resume, knows what it means to be a blackshirt and represent Nebraska.

Guys that would kill the program:

HC- Any SEC coach would put us on at least 5 years of probation but I would say Ron Meyer, he could take the football team somewhere its never been "the death penalty". But on the positive side we would get some love from RIVALS while we get all the top recruits by paying them.

OC- Shawn Watson, dont we still blame this guy when we lose?!?

DC- Jerry Sandusky (pronouced San Doooo Ski) enough said

Recruiting Coordinator- John Blake, Oh wait we had him lol

I'm not sure that I'd want a retired Tom Osborne at this point. Come on guys, we would want a head coach, not a Joe Paterno puppethead. I'm not tryin to knock Tom because there is no coach I would want more than Osborne at his proper coaching age. But he's 75 years old right now. Get us someone who can build for a long time.

I'm not sure whether you're joking or not about Mangino being an OC. But really he'll be GREAT when some team finally gives him a chance. He'd be a great HC as well. I think that controversy down at KU was a bunch of baloney. The athletic dept at KU has no clue about how to run a football program.

If it were based on selecting people on their their current age -

HC Saban

DC Bo

OC Jim Harbaugh (heck I'd love him as a HC too)

Surprised Monte is getting any love considering he really hasn't done much at the college level. He's fielding what...40th ranked defenses with 5 star recruits? I think I'd go w/ something like

HC: Nick Saban (recruiting, nuff said)

OC: Rich Rod (his offense would survive the Nebraska fans which hate the pass)

DC: Mattison (only have his single year at Michigan to go on, but I was impressed enough)

Oh I know... I'm waiting for Mike Leach to hire him in at Washington State. I will be moving to Pulman and buying season tickets the second that happens. The Pirate and the Pillsbury Dough Boy will make a deadly combo.
