Prometheus Trailer 2012 Alien Prequel

^^ I do wish it had 15-20 more mins. I really enjoyed the pace, the sign of a good director, but there were a few parts I wished were fleshed out a little bit. I would pretty much guarantee a sequel though way to much left hanging to not have one. One thing you need to do is not go in expecting a huge action production like Aliens, it is more in the spirit of Alien.

I absolutely loved most of the scenes I wont share b/c spoilers suck but, the ones with Weyland were a let down.

And on the lighting I had read that in order to shoot in 3D you need well lit sets for the depth of the shots so they had to go in and make it darker during post production. It is tough to make a film as dark and gritty as the original when they spend 12 times as much on the new one.

All in all glad I went and it is the best of the Ailen themed films in a long long time. Looking forward to a second one.

The pace might have been good for a blockbuster movie, I guess, but it was total garbage for any sense of realism or pulling me into the world. Going that fast A) Left 829357 unanswered questions and things that made me scratch my head and B) totally betrayed any type of plausibility as far as scientists actually behaving like scientists.

I did like it though.

 
The only two things I can't figure out:

1. Why did David infect Halloway and Shaw?

2. Why was Vicker's surgical chamber thingy calibrated for men only? Was she really a man or. . .?

My thoughts:

1. I thought David had a immense curiosity through out the movie, possibly being programed to do so. When David asked Halloway what he would do for his answers and Halloway responded with anything. David took that as go ahead and test this random goo on me. Shaw got infected because they had sex.

2. I assume the surgical chamber was really for Weyland not Vickers.
