Went to Mayhem Fest last summer: In Flames, Unearth, Trivium, All Shall Perish, Machine Head, Megadeth, Godsmack & Disturbed

Saw 5FDP, Hatebreed, All That Remains, and Rains (Rains didn't belong in that group, a lot of people were confused when the started playing)

Probably go back to Mayhem this summer, unless I move by then.
Just decided to take my (by then) 11 year old Son to Mayhem to see Slipknot...We're both Joey Jordison fans and my Son is fast becoming a bigger fan than me..(I like about a dozen of their songs, but he keeps showing me more of their songs on youtube)...BUT...I'm scared of clowns.. :ahhhhhhhh

Any advice?

Also thinking about seeing Filter again this Friday at Tempe Town Lake.. We saw them a year ago and my shoulders are finally getting back to normal from having my Son on my shoulders through the whole show.

My bucket list used to include: Pink Floyd, SRV, Willie Dixon, and John Lee Hooker..But now consists of Slipknot, Crutch, Van Morrison, and Boz Scaggs..Primus..Tool...Maybe Elvis Costello and his wife..um...er...Diana Krall..

1st concert I "sorta" saw was when "The Baby's" played Holdrege City Auditoreum and I hung around outside on my stingray..

.

Then while in highschool a buddy and I double dated and drove to Omaha and saw Hall&Oates open for Electric Light Orchestra.

Then

Head East? on East Campus (Cornstalk)

..

ZZ Top at Pershing Auditoreum.

Chicago

Lionel Ritchie

Sting (with Kenny Kirkland, Omar Hakim, Brandford Marcelles)

Earth Wind & Fire/Emotions

Billy Joel

Cheap Trick at Pioneer Park (Pinewood Bowl).

Had tickets to Van Halen, but had to sell them when my GF got sick the day before.

Matt Guitar Murphy, Magic Slim, countless others at the Zoo.

Some Zydeco Bands at the 1st Anual Flatwater Festival (Did they ever have more?)

Allman Brothers at Compton Terrace (PHX)...(But missed half of it because they wouldn't let me bring in my fake Guide Dog.

Big Pete Pearson a year after he retired.. at a neighborhood bar in Awatukee (Cactus Jacks) while my old college buddy was out visiting from Lincoln and a bigger Blues fan than even me.

Buddy Guy/Carlos Santana/BB King ...South of Awatukee at Compton Terrace?

U2 at Sun Devil Stadium.

Jimmy Page/Robert Plant at America West Arena

Yes/Kansas somewhere by Glenwood. (Cricket Pavilion?)

Indigenous in Tempe (My Son's 1st concert..Just learned to walk..I put earplugs on him).

Lots of bands at Tempe Town Lake free concerts..Filter is the only one that sticks out.

The best band mentioned here!!! Where will you be seeing them?

My dad used to drive tour buses and had them for a couple of tours in the 80's. They F*CKING ROCK!!!!!!!!

I'm 51, so some of these go back a little further, mid to late 70's, when concert tickets were $6.50 and you got to see three bands. :)

KISS (first concert ever '76)

Ted Nugent

Aerosmith

AC/DC became my favorite band of all time(they opened for Cheap Trick '77)

ZZ Top x4

I figured I would bump this and see what everyone is going to this summer.

I ordered my tickets for Mayhem Fest in Denver, July 8th, which means I'll be in Denver for Silva-Sonnen II on the 7th!

Looks like Dirtfedd won't be at the Denver show for Mayhem Fest. At least it's not on their list of shows. :(

There is a simple reason they are playing Knotfest in Council Tucky over Mayhem(and it isn't the close to home), the guy that more or less got them signed and even helped produce their first album is Shawn Crahan, or as a lot more people know him this guy aka Number 6
