Wisconsin fans @ Memorial Stadium

I understand that I am a guest here. As far as delusions of adequacy, I don't think I quite understand what you mean. UW or me?

Anyhow I'm trying to be civil here and engage in a calm exchange of opinions. I think I summed up what you guys think pretty well, do you agree?

No. You have not responded to a single point I personally have made. You have ignored all of them and pretended any valid point that any of us have made was ever made.

What opinions have you personally given in the past page in a half? All I have seen was "I agree."

Ahh jeeze... the old, "I-don't-have-anything-to-contribute-so-I'll-rattle-off-a-bunch-of-things-we've-won".

Ok the post was a bit snarky, but the entire post was pretty poignant to the issue of Nebraska fans targeting Wisconsin as some sort of anomaly of bad fan treatment.

In a nut shell: You guys think Wisconsin is some sort of horrible rarity, but I believe you only think this way because you haven't been in the conference long enough. A pretty reasonable response to the barrage of crying about Madison that litter the board.

Some how that got turned into a whole slew of rants about National Championships and a lecture on the historical glory of Nebraska Football? What?

Hate to say it, but that's usually Michigan's stunt. You'll have to find another trick.

Here's the thing, if you would have approached it more like that from the beginning more people would have attempted to see your point of view.

To add to that, a ton of my friends were in Ann Arbor and came away from that town with nothing but good things to say.

There was plenty of that, but the assertions of Madison being a horrible place continue. It's like you need some sort of wake up call to realize that Madison is not unique in that matter and that you will experience the same as a member of the conference. You act like it was so pronounced and unique but it's obviously not.

I almost had to be snotty just to get that simple point across! No one was listening!

My last bottom line to clear things up from my end:

If you don't want to get patronized on what it's like to be in a big time league, then drop the acting so surprised about how things went in Madison. No one doubts that you are a wonderful, wonderful, historical program coached by Bo Pelini. It's just puzzling that such a wonderful, wonderful program would spend so much time complaining about the same issues that schools like Indiana and Minnesota do.

well its kind of a wakeup call when you are a new member of a conference and have to deal with it on your first road game. I went up to the Michigan game, sure there are some a$$hole$, most of them were just the college kids when we went to party with them at 9 in the morning, but for the most part they were glad we were in the conference and i heard that hundreds of times. "Thanks for coming, see us again soon." "It's great to have a program like yours in our conference now." and much more. From what i heard, the things that went on in Maddison were equivilent or worse to a road trip to Missouri or Colorado.

How many titles has this big time league of yours won in the last 40 years? 2? A Big Time league that hasn't won jack sh#t.

Whereas finding a message board a school you didn't go to, and trolling on it, you I guess invented.

You're pretty cool.

Here is the thing as well,

We knew we would have to adapt to a different environment, we knew we would have to adapt to different styles of play, we knew a ton of things about what to expect. I have literally no issue with you speaking on behalf of the people that proudly represent your university in a great way. Where you strayed from anything that made sense was when you typed the post on page two where you were trying to tell us what we need to expect in terms other than opposing fans. You also strayed from your original message of being apologetic and finding logic behind why it could have been overblown.

Overtime, we will adapt rather quickly to big ten football, but one thing that will not change is the treatment of opposing fans at Memorial Staduim. I don't care how "weird" we might be, it will not change. This is the end of the conversation.

See this is what's funny, guys like this trying to tell us what " big time leagues," and "big time football" is.
