What did you expect him to say? He's not only protecting Tyler, but himself as well. He says one wrong thing and he has a bigger problem on his hands.

He was a starter last year. No confirmation yet if he's actually left or not

He was a starter in non-conference season last year. He's been a backup since the Wisconsin game.
