Surprised TX didn't take the #1 spot, but it's still early and if Cook can keep them focused...it can turn out to be a special year.

I was at the game yesterday and it wasn't a surprise that the girls looked tired. They were still able to sweep ND.

The question in my mind is...How good are these girls? this team is loaded with GOOD senior leadership and good younger players also.

This might be a very special year.

Our girls always play good in the beginning of the year and then about halfway have a few slip ups before getting hott for the touney, i hope we can stay consistent this year and hopefully only have one or two losses all regular season.

You would think that this is what senior leadership can help avoid.

Not all senior leadership is the same. We've had differing levels of senior leadership in the past few years. I think this crop of seniors has their heads on their collective shoulders in a way that recent years' seniors may not have.

VERY proud of the Husker women this weekend and their performance, but even more amazing than that was all 3 DI teams from the state sweeping their first weekends! Creighton takes down a decent Wisconsin team to take the USF Invitational, and even though the level of competition wasn't quite the same, the Mavs sweep through their first weekend in only their second year of transition, and only lose one set on the weekend. Goes back to a conversation we had earlier this summer about the volleyball culture in the state that Pettit and Cook have fostered. I think that all has an effect on all the programs in the state. Fun time for women's volleyball in Nebraska!

I love Volleyball in the state of Nebraska. UNK should be very good also.

AND....my two daughters both made varsity. The Junior is now in her second year starting as Libero and the Freshman was really happy she is the first team defensive specialist.

Sorry...just had to be a proud father.

Go Huskers!!!!
