For those of you coming out to Pasadena on Saturday

thanks BruinPatti...i live in North Hollywood and have friends coming in for the game...do you know of a particularly good spot to tailgate?
You mean other than MY tailgate? :)

Both Lot H and the golf course are great. The die hard tailgaters tend to hang out in Lot H. The golf course tends to be a bit more laid back..a bit more family friendly. Lot H has no shade, so bring an EZ-up if you have one. The golf course has some trees around the fairways to provide some shade.

...and I know you are coming for a football game, but Pasadena is home to one of the best collections of fine art on the West Coast. The Norton Simon Museum is in downtown Pasadena not too far from the Rose Bowl. I guess it is open from noon to 6:00 daily the rest of the week. They have a whole wing devoted to impresionist and post impresionists such as Monet, Manet, Cezanne, Van Gogh. Also they have several Picassos, Rubens, and Renoir (I also think they have a Rembrandt). Also as you approach the museum there are several Rodin sculpures. It is really an amazing place if you are an art lover.

Hi there...I have a bunch of family coming out from Nebraska and I was trying to avoid tailgating but it looks like everyone wants to, but of course no one wants to sit in traffic after the game. Due to the new rules, does anyone know if you can just kinda walk about and party or do you have to be confined to an actual tailgate area in front of/behind a vehicle? We were thinking of taking a taxi or shuttle to the stadium but we don't know anyone that's going to be there.
Walking around is fine, you don't have to be confined to an area. Put your drinks in a cup if you're walking around...especially with bottles! Technically no bottles are allowed, but they will usually look the other way if you're at your tailgate....but if you're walking around, absolutely no bottles! put it in a cup!. Drinking is fine as long as you don't act a fool. The Pasadena Police have little patience for fools and drunks.

You should have no trouble finding people to hang out with. Lots of Huskers will be there ...and...all you have to do is shout "$C sucks"...and I guarantee you'll be invited to some Bruin tailgates! :)

A taxi is going to be a pain...and you won't be able to get one after the game...so I'd recommend the Parsons Shuttle. The line is pretty long after the game...but it moves fairly quickly as there is a dedicated route for the buses...so they don't get stuck in the post game traffic.

Whatever you do....DON'T SCALP TICKETS AT THE ROSE BOWL. The Pasadena PD has plain clothes officers that walk around trying to buy tickets and then they arrest you for scalping (happened to a friend of mine).

This comes at a perfect time. Should be out there Thursday night. I've got a friend who lives there taking me around but I probably would have been looking for beer close to the stadium. I'll just take my booze in a bottle now and buy me some diet coke mixers.

Anybody know of a good sushi and sake bar in West Hollywood or within a short drive distance?? Looking for one with cheap to moderate prices and a fun and sort of trendy atmosphere.

Dude, it's West Hollywood...I think you'd have trouble finding anything else.

I've had no luck Google-ing. Some of the places that have come up are CLOSED, there are a lot of fine-dining ones that are a little pricey, and then there are dives that look like they have no atmosphere whatsoever.

Where are the food trucks usually located?

I'm going to eat In-N-Out for every meal all 5 days I'm there so I get sick of it and don't have to think about it anymore.

Japanese food tends to be pricey. This might not be strictly a sushi place, but Furaibo is great, great Japanese food with a nice ambiance as well. I don't think it's especially pricey, either. It also ought to be very close.

I don't think you will find a sushi place that would be considered very cheap food.
