These Chasing 3 films are great.  Stadium runs, oof.  And then Rhule making all the seniors run again because they weren't doing anything about the ones still dogging on the stairs.  Culture baby.

That was obviously the older Mazzccua, on the next stadium run he was still dragging behind a bit but the other players rallied around him. Rhule even referenced him in a spring presser as still learning the standard.

These videos are fantastic! It's obvious these guys are putting in the work. Hope it actually culminates in some wins this season. GBR!

I'm posting on this again because I think this is huge.  It shows a really big problem we have had in the culture at Nebraska.  Rhule is fighting hard to fix it.

I remember coaches before saying so-n-so didn't play because the other guy looked better in practice.  People would get pissed and say, some players are just game day players and you just have to throw out there the best athletes.  I think that's total BS.  We are never going to get to where we want to be unless players take every single practice very seriously and practice like how they want to play.

I love our coach and the effort he's putting into this.

Rhule is exorcising the demons out of the players heads. It's not about "used to be"  It about them now making a statement as to the Program of Nebraska Football.

Its time for them to take everything they learned out on the field and unleash the beast for 4 quarters.

I think you actually might have gotten it backwards in your last sentence, but I understand what you mean.

You are correct (in my opinion and have I've been saying it for over a year) that a significant chunk of the team is creating a "team psychology" problem. But what Rhule is saying that happened here is that when people were watching, guys choked - just like they choke on Saturdays.

Rhule went on to say that this doesn't happen when nobody is watching.

So his punchline was the opposite - the players need to play like they practice. And there seems to be a psychological hurdle for some of them to do so.
