2024-2025 College Football Playoff

Recommended Posts

I wanted to start a thread to discuss this years CFP games. I know there is another thread about the playoff expansion in general but this one will be focused on the 12 teams who made the CFP.  The BIG has the most teams in and I am curious if a BIG will win the title again.  Ohio State appears to have the toughest road to win it all.

Indiana reminds me of the old Oregon teams.  All flash and dash, but when they get punched in the mouth, they can't respond.  Good team?  Yes, but the lack of playing quality team is hurting them.

Notre Dame is dominating, but can’t seem to put them away.

and I’m finding this whole playoff thing boring. I’m am not really interested in any game tomorrow. Very blah.  I think I’m over football for this year.

8 teams would have been right this year.  Go top 8 and throw everything else out.  With the rich getting richer through NIL and Portal??  May stay that way.  THink of contual Dodger-Yankee WS.  Only teams spending money.

I am surprised how easily Notre Dame is dominating Indiana who we got killed by. Does that mean NIU would kill us too since they beat Notre Dame who beat Indiana who killed us?

Anybody who looked at Indiana's schedule should have seen this coming. They played a grand total of two teams that finished the regular season above .500. They barely squeaked by one (7-5 Michigan) and got their asses kicked when they played an actual good team (23 point loss to Ohio State). With a decent schedule, they would've been more like 9-3 and bowling against Missouri or South Carolina instead of 11-1 and in the playoff. They're a good team, certainly, but by no means are they a great team.

Fair points, but they kept it close to OSU through the first half and I expected this game to be much closer.  Nebraska played OSU much closer than they did Indiana so does that mean OSU is not good either?  I think college football has become a week to week event where a team that looks strong against some competition can look horrible against another team.

Also, outside of Notre Dame's close loss to NIU, they have looked pretty dominant this season so today's showing may be more about how good Notre Dame is than Indiana being overrated.  Hopefully the BIG does not finish 0-3 this weekend.

I don’t think it means anything but we’re very inconsistent.  I think winter/spring/fall we over focused on Colorado with no plan after that.

by we I mean the coaches
