The 3-4 isn’t the problem.  The 3-4 being “run” by Nebraska is the problem.

Agree. 3-4 fits Nebraska's needs from a local talent pool, it's just the current passive scheme that's the issue.

Yes, that. ^^^

This is probably the most disappointing 3-4 defense ever.  I was expecting aggression, not this mess.

Maybe Diaco is running the 3/4 Defense...because sometimes it looks like they are going at 75%

If that's an original, nicely done.  If it's not, it's still clever but you don't get the credit for it.

I actually just thought of it!  Thanks!

Is it possible Diaco said that he runs a 3/4th defense and we assumed he meant 3-4? No wonder we have unrealistic expectations.

Maybe 3-4 Defense means 3 minus 4, because it usually looks like they're outnumbered.

Final five games we go 3 wins, 2 loses.

Moos is a football guy.  He'll tell Riley he is here till the end of the season, then gone.  That will clarify the ugly suspicion that Riley has to be struggling with.  Moos will tell Riley what changes he "suggests" need to be made for the remainder of the year.  Having clarity and a touch of extra guidance eliminates a lot of uncertainty, which allows us to win the games we should.  Just my hopeful guess.

Maybe 1 more win:facepalm:

This is where I'm at currently, maybe 1 more win. Purdue played Wisconsin better than we did, as did Northwestern. God knows Riley can't beat Iowa.

Well unless Moos can play Left Tackle like he did in college, I don't think him being a football guy is going to help too much on the field.   I'm glad he's a football guy and maybe being a OL, he'll understand the need to redevelop the pipeline and the importance of a strong OL as the key to a team's success and will hire a coach wt a similar view.
