Iowa draws at Penn State and home for Michigan State. They dodge Michigan and Ohio State. Since Nebraska joined the Big 10, the Huskers have played Ohio State eight times. Iowa has played the Bucks just three times. How is this fair at all? It's all about the money. The B1G makes more money when the Huskers play the top crossover teams. Everyone knew this going into the B1G. 1 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/91208-2023-husker-football-schedule/page/2/#findComment-2516525
tmfr15
I said Iowa dodged MIchigan and Ohio State. I meant to say just Ohio State, but if you go back, they've probably been doing a fair amount of dodging Michigan too. They play the heck out of Maryland, Rutgers and Indiana. Current FEI Rankings for non-conference opponents: Nebraska Michigan Colorado - 121 East Carolina - 47 NIU - 103 UNLV - 106 La. Tech - 114 Bowling Green - 111 Pretty similar, but they do have a legitimately decent opponent and we don't. You can argue Colorado should have been the best team on either schedule when these were put on the calendars, but right now we have the easier non-conference schedule. 3 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/91208-2023-husker-football-schedule/page/2/#findComment-2516541

Still lost to Colorado twice, three and four years ago.
