Migrating the site to Xenforo

Also who had the bright idea to let guests start threads? Please for the love of god go look at how many threads there are with spam now.

They can't.

The Xenforo software, to encourage registrations, allows filling out a post without registering. At that point, the person has committed time to making a post - Xenforo then tells them it needs registration information to complete the thread post. There's not going to be any posts by non-registered users.

Please give example URLs.

It's basically all of the threads that have many pages. I can't see anything but the first page. Then, after I post in the thread, I can see from that post on. But, I can't go back to other pages.

I'll note that Xenforo handles that stuff a little differently. Tweets won't automatically load in the post box, but will show up after you hit Post. Also, you won't be able to post an image just by copying & pasting the URL into the post box anymore, you have to use the Insert Image button, then click on By URL and paste the image link in there.

Better yet, use a third-party host, like IMGUR. If Xenforo is like IP Board, people will quickly fill up their allotment and start complaining that they can't post pictures anymore.

100% seeing this too. Current page with most recent posts or the first page are the only options.

The previous and custom page # functionality isn’t working. They will both reroute to the first page in the thread.

Sorting of threads doesn't seem to work on PC. I've tried Chrome, Edge, Firefox. Looks like the default is to put the threads with the most recent replies at the top, but in the basketball forum (where I spend most of my time) the top thread was last posted to in January 2023.

It does seem to work on mobile.

I'd say that reading dark blue thread titles on a black background isn't the most convenient color combination either.

The other thing I see that will be annoying is you need to scroll to the bottom of the page to get to the next page or previous page function.
