Migrating the site to Xenforo

I actually like the new format more and more the more I use it. I'm reporting these things so hopefully they can be fixed....not as a complaint.

I'll go into a thread, read it all, but, when I leave the thread, it doesn't always show that it's all read.

Old posts with something from X? It does appear that those links did not come across. I'm not sure they can be recovered. But new posts seem to work.

I'm not sure about you all, but on iOS, if I try to edit a post, there's now a checkbox that asks if you want to hide the Edit line. I couldn't get it to work on mobile, but it was fine on desktop.

Not a big deal, just something I noticed.

Just clicking on the thread title should take you to your first unread message in that thread. But all the read/unread tracking has been reset, so right now it thinks you haven't read any posts in any threads, so it'll just take you to the first post in the thread. Try again on your next visit and see if it works for threads you've visited since the migration.

This is correct. Normally, clicking the title text link will take you to your first unread post in that thread, but since the board migration the data for what you have and haven't read has been reset, so the 'first' time you click on a thread it will take you to the start, but every time after that it should work as it always has.


It looks like we lost our rep points pre-migration as well? I see profiles now have a 'Reaction Score' and a 'Points' field, and the reaction scores (presumably rep from +1s and the like) are in the low single/double digits for everyone. Not sure what the points are.

Actually the transition has been pretty smooth. The common thing would be to b!^@h about this or that not being the same but I think I can get used to this just fine. Good job @BigRedMax

As a very non-frequent poster, I must say that I was appalled at what happened to the site. Then I realized I needed to log in...I like it!
