Husker QB - TJ Lateef

When you think of the chaos that always seems to be Nebraska, TJ may just play well.

What would cause chaos? A huge QB battle in the spring, with everyone taking sides.

He's got wheels and moxie.
Coaches need to focus on what his legs add to the offense. Which could be quite a bit if the play-calling adjusts to his raw athleticism.

You aren’t wrong, TJ could actually help EJ, but don’t expect a ton of zone read. Very difficult to master and rough to attempt to do in a week or two. Requires a ton of practice with mesh and guys reading the same thing. If they attempt too much, expect a lot of footballs on the ground or tackles for a loss. Agree that the tandem have the skill set, but do they have enough practice? Yet to be seen

6W-6L. Good thing Huskers are already bowl eligible

TJ=Bread Loaf carries.

Anyway welcome to GameAbove Sports Bowl in Detroit against Ohio Bobcats

UCLA- L
Penn State- L
Ditch Chicks- L

These constant dump passes 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage need to stop. Nebraska needs a better intermediate passing game. If Dana, Rhule, and TJ can't figure out how to throw 1 yard or more past the sticks on 3rd down, we are in trouble.
Until our line can block or we can hit the long pass, there is no intermediate passing game. We are getting beat with a 3 man rush. Where do you think the other 8 guys are.

After all the people calling for TJ to replace Dylan all year, I expected a hell of a lot more than 7 yards. I hope to see a gigantic leap next week.

Pretty sure 7 yards passing had nothing to do with the people calling for TJ. We will however see what kind of chops Holgorsen has.

There will be enough Husker fans there, to let TJ here us. Maybe help him to know, he has the support.
I bought six tickets for the family, so we will be there cheering him on.
UCLA crowd kind of trickle's in, through out the first half. So we will definitely be louder, much of the first half.
TJ has the talent. Let's see what the staff has cooked up for him.

GBR!!!

Welp, all the dips that wanted them to Bench DR got their wish. Hope you're happy

It would indeed be dipshittery if you wanted to bench a healthy Raiola, a very good young quarterback who showed genuine 4th quarter cool and team leadership this season.

At the same time it would be stupid to see TJ Lateef's skill set and not go "oh, that could work."

Let's be honest. The pressure is off. The Huskers are not in the playoff conversation, but at least have a bowl locked up. Without Raiola they have an excuse to lose out and switch the conversation to NIL, portal chatter and Next Year. You can't be upset if your true freshman back up falls short of your star QB. And because this is a team that plays up or down to expectations, these next three games with TJ could be a bit of fun.
