This is Florida's fifth appearance in the AVCA Showcase. The Gators started their season in Omaha Saturday with a 3-1 victory over #9 Iowa State (who lost OH Rachel Hockaday to a knee injury very early in the match). Florida runs a 6-2 so Nebraska will see a different offense than they saw today. S/RS Kelly Murphy is a two-time All-American and an important part of the offense. Florida's passing game needs to show major improvement over Saturday's performance if they hope to challenge the Huskers, who already looked in midseason form in a decisive sweep of #14 Kentucky.

Florida wins the first set 25-22. The Huskers looked pretty out of sync for a lot of the beginning of the first set. We didnt do a good job on receiving serve. We looked better later on and got it close but fell short.

Florida wins 2nd set as well 25-22. Nebraska just is making too many errors and has killed themselves on not receiving serves. :ahhhhhhhh

Florida leads 2-0.

I'm pretty surprised about this. I thought we had these slow-starting matches out of our system last year. Florida is playing really well, but we're also giving them far too many easy points. Shocking, so far.

Wow, what a third set. Both teams with multiple set points to win the set.

We have broke their will, now we will dominate. :koolaid2:
