Actually, I'm gonna make this really simple for all the posters who have been insufferable lately or are just popping up to b!^@h about the statusn of our team.

Your dumbassed opinion that firing our 1st year head coach mid-season or at the end is f'ing stupid. Nobody is f'ing happy with the state of our team, but seriously think about it. It isn't happening.

Speculate all you want about Richt, Johnson, Wittingham, Briles, Patterson, Tressel, Kelly etc etc etc. Do it all f'ing day if you want to if it makes you feel better. Chances are, your idea for a new hire will probably suck as much as Bo did in one way or another.

Until the day comes when we are actually replacing Riley, it makes no f'ing difference who you think should coach here. The university is not going to pay 3 coaches at one time because of one sh**ty season. We are stuck with Riley for better or worse so get f'ing used to it.

You don't have to like it, just accept it. I think he was an average hire myself and so far he is not pulling his weight. I think next year could be special if things fall into place right.

Nebraska should not turn into a revolving door of coaches just because some grumpy fu#*$ om a message board are more angry than they should be. f#*k losing, I hate losing. I hate a losing record even more. I hate that our experienced coach can't pull his head out of his a$$ to manage a close game into a f'ing win. I hate we are about to go winless in conference play at home this year. But I accpet it.

So, by all means, continue praising GOAT for all his brilliant ideas and start a petition to get him an administration job at UNL.

Nobody is talking about firing Riley midseason, or even after this season. I don't know why you keep resorting back to that, even though I've said repeatedly that I think Riley should be given another year (see post #31). I've asked you to provide evidence of me ever saying what you claim, yet you're unable to do it, because -- like your paranormal activity crap -- it's nonexistent. That fact in itself defeats your entire argument.

Since you're apparently a slow learner, allow me to retort: We're speculating on potential coaches after Riley is let go, whenever that may be. It could be the end of next season, or 2017... who knows? Hopefully it will never happen, and Riley will get POB and his other recruits in here and turn things around, although at this point that seems unlikely. Regardless, I've provided Richt's credentials, and if you don't choose to agree with my assessment, that's your prerogative. That being said, I've asked you repeatedly to provide a better potential candiate, and you've been unable to do so, instead insisting upon the idea that no big name established coach will ever come to Lincoln, let alone a "mediocre underachiever" such as multi-time conference champion and BCS contender Mark Richt.

Your arguments are shallow, ill-conceived, and hold no weight. Like our (not so) esteemed head coach, you are clearly in over your head, yet you refuse to acknowledge it. Therefore, I choose to end this debate and engage with someone more on my level.

Then why doesn't he do what's best for the program as well as the state of Nebraska -- admit that he's in over his head and step down, so that we can bring someone else in to right this rapidly-sinking ship? I think the fans would have a lot more respect for him he did this... every game he coaches sets us farther and farther back.

Seriously, what proof can you offer that Richt would succeed here. He should be winning the SEC East every year, yet finds ways to lose it to Mizzou and SCAR.

He's beaten Saban, Meyer, Miles... who else can say that? He's a multiple-time SEC conference champion, plus an ace recruiter and a Nebraska guy to boot. What more do you want? It's not easy when you have to play Alabama, LSU, Auburn, A&M, Ole Miss, MS State, and the rest of the SEC slate year-in, year-out. There really are no pushovers in the SEC with the exception of Vanderbilt and Kentucky. Speaking of South Carolina, didn't they smack us down in the Capital One Bowl a few years ago? So, um, yeah.

This response summed things up nicely. You are an SEC region guy. Your bias makes reality hazy for you. You think guys at SEC schools that have unlimited resources and talent are great even though statistically they could be better.

I've made it very clear where I stand on Riley; that's no secret. There's nothing to "pick" up on. I've said from the day he was hired that he was a bad hire. However, I've also made it clear that he should at least be given some time to see what he can do, and that the play and growth of POB under his tutelage will likely be what makes or breaks him.

The reason i mentioned Richt, as many of my previous posts have made clear, is that many Bulldog fans are unhappy with him and want a change. I stated that he MIGHT be willing to make a jump to the B1G, where the road to the playoff would likely be much easier than it is in the SEC. The difference between you and me is that I don't consider Richt to be average; I consider him to be one of the best, as well as a logical choice, for the aforementioned reasons.

What does Auburn have to do with this conversation? Auburn has a much more successful recent history than we've had, that's for sure. They're having a down year this year, but one bad year doesn't break a program. A 15-year period of mediocrity does. I'd gladly take a national title if it meant a down year the following year.
