Jordan is the best player on the #1 team in the world. That's all.

Hooker had more points, but she also wasted several serves and... did you ever hear "Great dig by Destinee Hooker!". No, because she's on the bench rather than in the back court. Larson serves, digs, kills from the net and from back court and passes. Tremendous athlete.

Hooker also had two terrible hitting errors at the end of the S. Korea match that allowed the S. Koreans a glimmer of hope after Jordan's service run put the Americans up 20-14.

 
I think Jordan is the best all-around player. Hooker is a beast that's for sure, but Jordan did everything well. She mis-handled one serve, but other than that played a hell of a game. Logan Tom is overrated and I'm tired of hearing her name.

Jordan is a younger version of Logan Tom. Solid all-around, lots of varying skills, but not a huge body that will dominate at the net. You need a Logan Tom on your roster. We have two. :thumbs

 
Nice to see Kobe supporting the volleyball team. Or he might just be scouting talent for his shirtless hotel parties, who knows?

Have you read the articles about the sex that goes on at the Olympics? Apparently it's quite the hedonistic lifestyle in Olympic Village. If you're Kobe you could do a lot worse than a girl as tall as you, nearly as fit as you.

I could be wrong, but I think Jordan has played every minute of every set so far.

 
USA defeats #2 Brazil in four sets, 17, 18, (22-25), and 21.

Solid performance by the Americans.

Jordan finished with:

Kills - 16

Attacks - 36

Blocks - 2

Aces - 0

Digs - 12

Solid all-around game by Ms. Larson.

EDIT - A nod needs to be given to Destinee Hooker, who also had a very good match today:

Attacks - 45

Blocks - 1

Aces - 0

Digs - 11

Larson and Hooker are a formidable duo - and they're just two of the stars on this team. It's not an accident that the U.S. is the World #1 Team.

That's a big hurdle to overcome for the Americans. Looking good so far...
