2012 Summer Olympics - London Games

Will be interesting to see if Jordan sees the floor in the next match. Her passing/def skills is what sets her a part from Hodge...but if the US can cover for her like they did today...wow she had a great match.

Nice game by the women today. Question for anyone that knows... the men's standings seems to be very clearcut, three points for a win, nothing for a loss. But I can't make hide nor hair of the women's standings. Some teams have the same record, but different point totals, and I was curious if anyone knew why.

I think Jordan is the best all-around player. Hooker is a beast that's for sure, but Jordan did everything well. She mis-handled one serve, but other than that played a hell of a game. Logan Tom is overrated and I'm tired of hearing her name.
I still got love for Logan....

Question ????? When the athletes are done with their events do they go home or are they allowed to stay and enjoy the Olympics? For example can the swimmers stay for the track and field next week.

I believe they're allowed to stay. At least that's what the one American judo woman said.
Unless they're a risk of defecting, then the country's secret police escorts them to nearest airport.

I think at one of the American Olympics, something like 25% of Cuba(?) delegation defected.

Off topic. Did I hear the announcer say "that's how you get a facial in volleyball" following Hooker's dig?
A "facial" in volleyball is when you hit someone in the face with the ball. Goes back to the old adage, "If you can't put it down, hit somebody," which basically means, if the block seals of your hitting lane, hit someone with the ball. Hard. It will likely carom off somewhere unplayable.

Plus, it's fun to drill someone with a volleyball. Think racquetball hit, but volleyball size.

Olympic Boxing just got a huge black eye. I haven't seen bias or poor scoring like this since Seoul.
