(2013) C/PF Akoy Agau [Georgetown Commit]

If he is really planning on going somewhere else he should have gone out east to high school like he was talking about and not gotten our hopes up. It's just easier that way.

@TheRecruitScoop: Louisville dipped into the state of Nebraska to land a commitment from 2013 forward Akoy Agau during an in-home visit tonight.

Here you go.

Good luck to the guy. Would of loved to see him come here, but it was always looking like an outside chance.

Louisville is my favorite Big East team too so that worked out better than Georgetown.

Not that I blame him for going but it's particularly hard to compete if we can't even get the few in-state prospects we have to stay here.

Hmmmmm.... commits on first official visit to a team that I didn't even realize was in contention until last week. My guess is he goes on his 4 other visits and commits to 3 other teams.. none of which are nebraska.

I certainly wish Akoy well. However I am ready to forget him and concentrate on recruits that want to be here. Aside from the occasional tweet, he never really showed any true interest in coming here.

Wish he would have come to Nebraska but we will just have to win without him. There are other good players out there. Just wish we could keep the home grown ones here.

Lets be honest.. Nebraska is a few years away from landing a recruit like this.

I wish Akoy the best of luck... I think he believes he needs to leave this state in order to truly achieve, and who knows it that is right or not.

The fact that we even made it to his radar screen that quickly with Miles, and weren't canceled out before now, is a lot of credit to where Miles has brought us in his short time here. Can't wait to see what happens in the future! Good luck to Akoy. Hope he finds what he wants from Pitino and Louisville. Going to be a lot tougher for him to shine in a place like that.

It came down to Ville and Nebraska according to his AAU coach. Give Miles all the credit in the world for keeping Nebraska in his top group, he busted his a$$.

I am going to predict that it will not be quite the experience he expects down there, and within a year or two, he will be back in Huskerville........... :snacks:
