(2013) C/PF Akoy Agau [Georgetown Commit]

I think he many come here for a visit.
Nebraska is definitely one of the schools he will visit. Along with 4-5 others.
The girl I know plays college basketball in the B1G and apparently said he's trying to enroll by January so he would be eligible next January right before conference play.
With his injury last season I heard something about submitting paperwork to be eligible immediately
If either are true, he would need to decide in the next week or so....correct?
Roughly, not sure last day to register for UNL
Jan. 11th or 12th

We may be doing our own internal research first as well to make sure that he would be eligible next year (not have to sit out). While it looks like a good possibility, if he wasn't granted that waiver, we would literally have no big men besides Hammond/Pitchford. Even with his skill set, we couldn't afford not to get a big man who could play right away instead.

Graduating this year:

L. Smith

M. Abraham

D. Rivers

Man I did not realize all three of them were seniors. We are going to be f'd next year!

Per today's article in the LJS, Agau would have to sit out two semesters. So enrolling in January, means that he would not play until after Dec 2015 / Start of second semester 2016. That would be pretty much like this year in non-conference, except we wouldn't even have Rivers.

There is a chance he can file for a waiver because of his injury. He could play right away next season, possibly.

Didn't get to talk to the coaches much because of the game but will be back in Lincoln next week for an official visit.

Finalists are Nebraska, Georgetown, Marquette and Wichita State.

So, I would assume he is doing quite a bit of traveling this week to make a decision sometime around this next weekend?

Former @OPSCHSBBB star Akoy Agau, transferring from Louisville, will visit #Huskers today: http://bit.ly/13WRrvC

Is there still room for him after McVeigh's commitment, or will it take someone transferring/quitting/being kicked off to open up a slot?
