2013 PGA Tour Discussion Thread

Par on #8. #9 is a 464 yard Par 4 - the second hardest hole on the course. Needs bird for 59.

Cruel game! Phil so close to 59, goes all the way round the hole & doesn't drop!? And Bones falls on green & covers his head in disbelief!

Cool, where'd you go to HS? I don't know John very well, but I'm from O'Neill and I've met him a few times.
Valentine. I don't know him at all, but he won almost every tournament we faced him in. I've never seen a human being hit the ball that far.

Not exactly the PGA Tour but both Tiger and Rory lose in the first round of the Match Play Championship.

Tiger played pretty well. Bogey-free 70. Chucky 3 Sticks just outplayed him. Tip your cap.

Rory on the other hand. Yuck. 75 and that is being generous considering he had "bogey" on a hole where he picked up in a cactus sitting bogey.

Pretty meh round from Tiger today. Did have a sweet recovery from the water though.

Villegas putted his a$$ off today...remember when he had that 18-month run a few years ago- that was basically all caused by his putting jumping from ~130ish to top-10. He started struggling with it again though and hasn't seen that success since.

The guy on top of the Honda Classic leaderboard for the moment is from the town where I live (a town of 50k pop.) This is his first year on the Tour. (23 years old) He played a few PGA events last year though. He's about to post a 63 for the second round.

,...and Villegas poops it right down his leg.

Also, WTH Rory? Withdrawing due to mental fatigue and/or a hurting wisdom tooth. Or something. Probably still struggling with the Nike clubs too.

Spiderman goes from leading after round one to cut. That hurts.

Tiger makes the cut on the number.
