2013 PGA Tour Discussion Thread

Tiger shoots 30 on the front then birdies the first three on the back to get to -8 through 12, six shots clear of the field.

Tiger misses some chances coming in but still shoots a career-best and course record 61, five shots better than the next best round of the day and 7 strokes clear of the field.

I love how that's the narrative people are coming up with. He choked down the stretch or missed his opportunity.

He shot a 61.

Sure did. I wasn't referring to your post with my initial one btw. But then you replied and I thought maybe you were one of those people who are yelling "choker!"

He missed a 10-footer and an 8-footer. He did not choke. He shot a 61.

I just wish I would have gotten to watch the entire round. Only got to watch the back nine. I was shocked he missed the putt 15 because I think he was 27/27 from inside 10 feet before that. Just though he was playing so great it was bound to go in. Not a choke, just thought he had it.

To me, it's a compliment to say that he could have shot even better. Most guys can't shoot 61 on their best day. Loved the comment about Jack Nicklaus having a chance at 59 before the three-putted 17 and bogeyed 18. But 5 shots better than the field on the day and 7 shots better for the tournament is domination.

His post-round presser was weird. Combo of being defiant to the media (for good reason) and being insecure about something, probably some combo of failing to hit 59 and failure to win a major the last 5 years

Tiger birdies the first. Here we go...

Except for a couple weeks in June (where he may have been bothered by the elbow), Tiger has Won, T-37, Won, Won, T-4, T-6 and a likely win this weekend in stroke play tournament that he's entered. That's pretty dominant.

I know he just bogeyed but this has been his totally predictable 8-shot-lead weekend golf. Fairway, green, don't do anything stupid or spectacular. Just a victory march.

OK. I know it's better than my local muni. But they keep raving about how great a golf course this is. But in every overhead shot all I see is a bunch of straight holes packed tightly together. Perhaps I'm missing something...
