He will use his redshirt this upcoming 2014-2015 season and will have 2 years of eligibility for the 2015-2016 season.

Pretty respected guy by all the Kansas faithful (me being one of them). He worked extremely hard and was nothing but a team player. He just happened to play a position where he was consistently recruited over. White made huge strides on his body over the past season. Overall a great shooter, decent ball handler and solid athlete.

You should hear nothing but well wishes from Kansas fans.

@HuskerExtraBR: Tim Miles says Andrew White "has pro potential" and reminds him of Paul Pierce, another former Jayhawk. #Nebrasketball

If you add Morrow alongside White and we are talking about two VERY VERY VERY good players for two years.

And you add a 2017 prospect and things are going how we need them to.

I really hope we can get him eligible for this season, but it's not likely.
I don't think he had a situation that would have qualified him for a transfer exception. Regardless, the time frame for requesting a transfer waiver has already passed so it will be 2015-16 season for sure.

I would almost like to see him get a year under his belt in the system before we play him in games, selfishly.. Either way incredible happy to get him.

Distance/location was secondary in decision for White: "I felt like the man decision would be to go with the best situation for me.”

Got to thinking about this today. Perhaps the reason for the delay would be best translated as "My family wanted me to play closer to home but I wanted to go to Nebraska."
