***2015 Recruiting***

I thought we'd end up around 18 prior to adding String and K Williams to the roster. I certainly wouldn't expect to exceed 18 now.

Tears is gone but we might have a little better chance to keep Harrison so it'll be interesting to see what happens at WR. We don't seem to be very high on to many recruit's lists so I left it at 2-3 for now. CJ Johnson likely to take one spot Monday. With Martinez leaving, I assume we might look at two more DBs in this class. Dillman now a QB so we are looking for a second QB.

QB - 1-2 - Dillman
RB - 1 - Bussey
WR - 2-3
TE - 0-1
OT - 2 - Gaylord
OG/C - 2 - Decker

DT - 2 - C. Davis, K. Davis
DE - 2-3 - Neal
LB - 2
CB - 2 - Lee, Anderson
S/N - 2-3 - Williams

God. Damn. It. So mad at this staff.
Grant, I don't blame you one bit. Glad you could commit to a premier program who wanted you and made it known so, and wasn't dicking you around. Hope to see you do big things.
This might be a bit much.
Maybe. I guess we'll see in a few years. Hey, if he sucks... I'll take it back. But I won't be happy if he's lighting up the Huskers.

Curious to why you think this? Is it just because he started out rated pretty high (dropping recently) and OhioState decided to offer?

We have recruited the offensive line brilliantly last couple cycles and beat OSU in a few head to head match ups for players. Why since they decided he is worth the offer and we didn't are we automatically in the wrong? We can only take 1 more OT in this class, why rush into offering someone 8 months from signing day whom you are not sold on and might fill your last spot?

Congrats to Grant on committing to a solid football school, but I think we should reserve our judgement on this one. A lot of time till signing day. And who knows you could be right and he will be an All-American or we will offer down the road...but no need to rush ourselves.

I really seems as if the coaches are trying to recruit for our offense alone and what we need to fill holes. I to think this staff has been doing an excellent job at recruiting the oline and starting to get back to the pipeline we used to have in that department.

In a interview with Doherty, he said that Coach Garrison has put this class at 16 total recruits, with needs for 1 OL, 1 DL, 1 LB, and 1 ATH for sure. This seems like a more realistic than 19-20. Since we are still going after another DB that could leave the sixth spot for a WR. The ATH I assume would either be at a QB, TE, or WR position.

OL - 3 - Gaylord, Decker

I would guess after the 10 current commits - and based on the offers still going out - we're looking for 1 QB, probalby 2 WRs, 1 OL, 1 DL, 1 LB, 1 DB. That would be 17.

Only taking 1 LB has me perpelexed.
Yes and no. We are only losing one this year (Anderson) and one next year (Santos). We have two sophomores who will play a lot this year (Banderas and Rose) and three freshmen who look promising. We're not terribly deep but one would keep the numbers the same as now. With a small class, that's probably a position we can skimp on - especially when we don't seem to be really high on many lists right now. Hopefully catch up next year.
