***2015 Recruiting***

Assuming Morgan and Bussey stay, which seems to be the case so far, this coaching change has caused zero issues on the recruiting trail. I say that because Mirko, the OL decommit, was probably going to Ohio State anyway...

He's got to hold the class together, find an LB or two, and we're in good shape.

 
Agree. I think if we get back in touch with everyone we have a very good chance of keeping the rest. But they were already anxious (understandably so) and have a bunch of other coaches in their ears. They can start to feel unwanted pretty fast if we have a new coach that seems to be ignoring them.

 
Coach Mike Riley hasn't formulated a recruiting plan just yet, but he knows that time is not on his side.

The current contact period stays open until Dec. 13. So meeting with players who've made non-binding commitments to play at Nebraska is a priority, Riley said.

"We'll try to do as much as we can in this next week, make a plan for the month of January and then go forward from there," Riley said. "But we've got to get started with some of that immediately."

"That's what I need to find out, is where our first stops will be," Riley said. "Guys like that will obviously be the first stops."

Riley said he's not sure if he (or other coaches) will be jumping on planes by Saturday. But certainly they plan to meet with recruits by the start of next week.

Just read Ferguson didn't play FB til JR year which is why he is an unknown. He has a high ceiling...

Riley needs to get staff intact, sounds like some of 2015 guys are getting restless and gonna start getting pressed hard. (Jones, Davis Twins)
