They make these for every game, and they're always awesome.

Between this type of image and those wonderful images on TV when they televise one of our games, (you know, where they show nothin but corn fields and cows), it's no wonder that everyone outside of Nebraska think that we are a simple minded state. Golly, sure is fine that we are are an agricultural state and all, but I recon we have enough smarts to know when we r bein made fun of.

I'm confused. Do you need a snickers because you were crying about a website making a game poster?
Wasn't crying, just point out the perception. What's your play here big boy?

They make them for everyone. You are the Cornhuskers and you have Herbie Husker and Lil' Red running around the stadium every Saturday. What do you expect from the media and other fan bases?

I get it, coming from opponents, just a playful jab. But, Nebraska is more that dirt farmers. (Not that there is anything wrong with farming), but we have much more to offer recruits than corn and cows! I do not appreciate the stereotyping which can and does affect recruiting.

Outside of Lincoln and Omaha, both of which are fine cities, there does seem to be a bit of farmland.

Fair enough, but I would venture to guess that most of our outstate recruits are not interested in becoming farmers and if they are anything like I was, they want to have a life outside of their educational institution. Otherwise, if all Nebraska has to offer outside of the stadium is farm fields, why would I want to go there?

TAKODA, who the hell cares? It's a humorous game poster for Ohio State fans. It has nothing to do with recruiting, and nobody is going, "hurr hurr classic that is SO TRUE nebraska is just farmers hahahaha losers".

No. 10 Nebraska at No. 6 Ohio State

Line: Ohio State, -17

Under/Over: 52

The Nebraska defense continues to play outstanding, but the focus remains on the struggles of QB Tommy Armstrong Jr., who has thrown six interceptions in his last four contests. He could be due for a big rebound game this week, however, especially if the Buckeyes don’t match up one of their top corners against Jordan Westerkamp in the slot (Northwestern’s Austin Carr tore up Ohio State from the slot last week with eight catches and 158 yards). Give the Buckeyes the edge for being at home at night, but this will be another close one.

Prediction: Ohio State 17, Nebraska 16

Bottom line Landlord, I was unaware OSU did this type of poster for every opponent . When I seen it, it caused me to think about what I hear amongst people from the East and West coast. They ask me, why do the networks always show a farm field and corn and cows when they broadcast your home games? They are pretty well off professionals who follow sports, have sons and daughters in athletics and know Nebraska is so much more! But it tends to paint us as something less than we are. Why do you think people say the "N" on our helmet stands for Knowledge!

I care about how people perceive Nebraska!!!

I know others must care about our our reputation or how we are perceived

because if they didn't, Bo would still be the HC.

That's OK, I know what battles are worth fighting, and the ones that are just not worthy, so I will bow out here! My apologies for hijacking the thread!

No matter how this game shakes out, this could still be a preview of the Big Ten Championship – but it’s more likely to happen if Nebraska loses.

The Huskers are coming off a loss to Wisconsin, but they’re in even with a loss in Columbus, as long as they win out and the Badgers lose again.

Ohio State’s season is effectively over, though, if it loses.

It’s been panic time in Columbus after the close call against Wisconsin, the fourth quarter collapse against Penn State, and the sluggish win over Northwestern, but 1) the Badgers are fantastic, and there’s no dogging a win in Camp Randall, 2) the Buckeyes had a bad ten minutes against the Nittany Lions where they flat gagged, and 3) the Wildcats are better than you think.

So while this isn’t the Ohio State crushing and killing machine it was over the first month of the season, it’s still very, very good, and the defense is still getting the job done overall.

The Buckeyes are still amazing at stopping opposing passing games, and the turnover margin continues to be terrific, going a +10 on the year and only losing the battle once – in a 58-0 win over Rutgers.

But there is a real, live concern on the offensive front that’s not generating a big-time push. The ground attack is still working – no one’s stopping it cold – but it’s not dominating, and the downfield passing game isn’t able to blow games open.

Basically, Ohio State is playing very Nebraska-like over the last month.

The Huskers are fine. They aren’t sensational, they don’t do anything that keeps coaches up at night, and they aren’t going to come out and hang 45 on the board, but they’re good, sound, and tough.

They don’t make a slew of big mistakes, they play great defense – especially against the pass – and they’re able to keep games tight, for good and for bad. The Huskers tend to play up and down to their competition, but now it’s time to come up with a big, giant win to jumpstart the national interest.

Husker QB Tommy Armstrong has been way too erratic, failing to hit 40% of his passes against Indiana and Wisconsin in the last three games, with two scores and five picks at the wrong time. He has to be fantastic, and he has to be the star – Nebraska can’t win if Armstrong isn’t the story.

But he can’t get the offense to control the clock and the game like he’ll need to. Ohio State might not be sensational this week, and there won’t be anything that happens that gets everyone excited about a national title possibility, but the offense will own the time of possession in a tough, methodical game that’ll win the war of running game attrition.

Wisconsin was 0-9-1 against top ten teams until they beat us a week ago. I am not sure if this is it but they snapped some streak against top ten teams against us last week.

We stop this 0-9 road skid and win in Columbus this week.

Coincidence, I think not!

I just don't feel good about this game because these ranked matchups latenin the season are the ones urban Meyer likes to pour it on for style points to get into the playoff
