I was pretty surprised Sparty didn't getting a #1 seed. I would hate to play them, they are going to have a huge chip on their shoulder

 
Not sure i agree with any of those bold predictions in that article. UNC is playing by far their best basketball of the year and i don't see them losing on the first weekend. All i know is that with the parody in college hoops this year this tournament is going to be wild

 
I don't understand how the teams that are in the play in games are not the 16 seed.

It makes no sense to me how one of them then ends up the 11 seed.

 
I think it was a bone thrown to the TV partners. Expected low ratings if it was all 16 seeds. So they agreed that there would be some "better" teams in those games.

All of the teams seeded 12-16 won their conference tourney. The 11 seeds are basically the last 6 at-large teams to make it. As mav mentioned if these games were all 16 seeds TV ratings wouldn't be good. So why not take the 4 "worst" 11 seeds play in these games and figure out who deserves to be in.

 
How upset is Duke that they drew UNC-Wilmington? You want a team to play the game of their lives, give them the in-state school that no one can stand in the first round.
