2016 Recruiting Final Grade

Wow. Some extremely interesting information on 247 today about some of our 2016 targets that didn't pan out, specifically about Kongbo, Fant.

 
Seemed to be in on Kongbo for awhile then didn't like his attitude when we visited him so cut off contact. Don't think we were getting him anyway.

Hughes wasn't making a connection to Fant and the relationship went bad after Fant visited in may. We stopped recruiting him for awhile but then Riley and Thompson tried to get back in but it was too late.

 
Thanks, Mav. I heard about Hughes' mistakes with Fant, and other recruits actually. But, wow! If we landed Kongbo, I imagine that would have earned Hughes some grace from some of the Husker faithful. Well, maybe only temporarily because with an attitude problem (whatever that means), Kongbo could end up a bust in a year or two, then the crosshairs would have been right back on Hughes (justifiably to a point).

 
Hughes seems old school, and can't adapt to the way 18 year olds are today. That's what makes guys like Riley special. They still get kids.
