Man if we lose out on Jackson and Simmons tomorrow this class really seems pretty average.

I think the class is actually pretty decent. It's just surprising that the momentum just died.

why is that surprising. As always, this staff oversells and under delivers. I bought in that last couple of weeks as well.

As always? This is their first full recruiting class, and we knew going in it would be a smaller class. Great post...

This year is the small class? Have you seen the numbers for next season?
This was supposed to be a class that sets the staff up for success. They seem to have found a good QB and great OL recrutis, but failed miserably in finding DL recruits despite several quality recruits nearby. I personally think the lack of talent at DE cost Nebraska games this season.

The inability to pressure the QB is why we gave up so many game ending drives last year. Couldn't get pressure when it counted.

Sure, if you consider addressing areas of needs first as failing?

Not to here. Probably ASU or Oregon. Looks like Bisharat is picked to go to Oregon. Something tells me Jackson made it up there at some point even though it was never reported. There goes another.

If Jackson told coaches where he was going already, and told ours he's not coming here, then why would we offer someone who could be part of a package deal with him? I think this says Lamar is ours and we hope to land this kid too. Just how I read it. Would love to have him!

That's how I read this. He is peer recruiting to here.

Connection is to Lamar Jackson. We offered him at RB. Trying to convince him to sign tomorrow then visit this weekend.

Think we need a WR now...Although if we lack any major WR this class, that must look appealing to Keyshawn Jr and crew for 2017.

Nobody else comes to mind as of now that we know about. Ideally, we could pull out a bigger bodied guy as Grim and Spielman are smaller receivers.
