2016 Schedule

Wisconsin and Northwestern are winnable games though.
They were this year, too, and we see how that went.

Frankly, there are zero 'gimmies' on that schedule. None.

And if we're not 4-3 (or better) by the Wisky game...we'll be looking at another 5-7 season at that point. I wouldn't be shocked to see the seat warmth become intolerable for Riley and for our boosters of substance to force the issue at that point.

Early guesses:

Fresno State 0 - Nebraska 52

Wyoming 0 - Nebraska 49

Oregon 14 - Nebraska 69

Nebraska 41 - Northwestern 3

Illinois 0 - Nebraska 41

Nebraska 67 - Indiana 7

Purdue 0 - Nebraska 48

Nebraska 38 - Wisconsin 10

Nebraska 41 - Ohio State 17

Minnesota 3 - Nebraska 70

Maryland 0 - Nebraska 84

Nebraska 71 - Iowa 10

Big Ten Championship

Nebraska 44 - Michigan 17

Semi Final: Nebraska(#1)77- Baylor(#4) 24

Championship: Nebraska #1 60 - Notre Dame #2 -6

I am still a little down on Banker, hence the reason i only gave the Huskers 5 shutouts.
I would straighr up lose my sh#t for this kind of season.

These are my best guesses:

Fresno State — win
Wyoming — win
Oregon — L?
Northwestern — win
Illinois — win
Indiana — win
Purdue — win
Wisconsin — toss up?
Ohio State — L?
Minnesota — win
Maryland — win
Iowa — toss up?

We'll probly lose (at least) one or two of the eight games I have labeled wins. If we could win two of the other four games, that'd give us eight or nine wins. That is, I'm thinking we'll have eight or nine wins IF we look like we did the last three games of this year. If we play like we did the first nine games it's gonna be another long season of disappointment.

I'm excited for next year. Yeah we didn't get the outcomes we wanted, but there was never a game we were out of. Team also go better as the season went on (for the most part). I see no reason why we won't be in every game. None of those teams scare me silly.

This is how it will probably go:

Fresno State Win
Wyoming Win
Oregon Loss
Northwestern Win
Illinois Win
Indiana Win
Purdue Win
Wisconsin Loss
Ohio State Loss
Minnesota Win
Maryland Win
Iowa Loss

Ironic, considering this is exactly the type of record we had under Pelini.

Losses to Oregon, OSU, and a letdown somewhere. Maybe Wisconsin if they find a QB to replace Sunshine. I think the defense will be better next year and will win a few games unlike this year.

Fresno State — win

Wyoming — win
Oregon — loss
Northwestern — toss up
Illinois — win
Indiana — toss up
Purdue — win
Wisconsin — toss up
Ohio State — loss
Minnesota — win
Maryland — win
Iowa — toss up

6 wins, 4 toss ups, 2 losses

So it could be 6-6 up to 10-2, but I think it's more like 7-5 or 8-4

I'm gonna throw my early vote at 10-2. Beat Oregon, beat Wisconsin, lose to Ohio State. Drop one to someone we should beat easily.

Pretty brutal road schedule for next season. Riley better protect home field if he has any chance at returning for a third year.
I love it. That's an impressive group. Only thing missing is Michigan State.
Thats my guess for losses.

I see this as a 10 win season.
way too much sh#t to fix......7-5 would be about right.
So if Nebraska had C.J. Beathard this year at QB what do you think NU's record is? I'm saying we are playing the the B1G championship game instead of Iowa

Fix the QB and you fix this team
YEAH that is the truth.
