I agree...Kind of sad and in the end if the recruiting is the same and the wins are less...well...this is going to be the worst hire ever.

Luckily the recruiting isn't the same (have you seen the 2018 class list?) and wins were the same last year - guess that points towards being a solid upgrade in HC

 
According to a post on another board - couldn't verify myself on a quick search - out of the schools rated in the top 30 in 247's 2017  class rankings, there are 13 total commits who are not currently enrolled at the school to which they signed.  

Three of them signed with Nebraska.

Noah Elliss and Alaric Williams also made the list.

To make sure I'm hearing you right... out of the top 30 classes, all of them... roughly 550ish kids? Only 13 didn't qualify? That seems very low.

So the total number that never made it to campus is 18 with six of them being from Nebraska and Mississippi State.  These numbers don't capture players who enrolled then left like KJJ but I doubt there would be more than one or two others.

- You could sell Gebbia that we just need another QB for numbers.

- You could sell Vedral on a great opportunity at his home school with not much experience ahead of him.

- Vedral is athletic enough that you never know what he could turn into.

- He's also athletic enough that he could probably play WR or even Safety in a couple years if needed.

I doubt Vedral would be interested at this point but it might be worth asking.
